Color Picker by Useotools.com is a color baking tool that allows you to create stunning colors for your online applications and other desktop applications. This tool allows you to alter many characteristics of your desired color, such as Hue, Saturation, Lightness, and Alpha. You may be wondering what these are? Let's explore.
We typically see hue as color. It is determined in degrees from 0 to 360, similar to a color wheel. It goes from red to yellow, then to lime, then to aqua, then to magenta, and ultimately back to red. So at 0 degrees, we have red, and at 360 degrees, we have red again. So, in a nutshell, Hue represents the foundation color.
Saturation symbolizes the purity of hue, or how pure our hue is. Saturation is determined as a percentage, with a value ranging from 0% to 100%, and 0% saturation will always be black.
Lightness or brightness in one color represents the amount of black and white that is blended with the base color. It is also calculated as a percentage, with a number ranging from 0% to 100%, with 0% being black and 100% representing complete white.
When you finish baking the color, the tool will output it in the three most common formats: RGBA, HSLA, and HEXA. If you need the output in a different format, you can use our Color Converter tool, which can convert one color format into many color formats such as hex, hex8, RGB, HSL, HSV, and CMYK. We hope you enjoy the tool; nevertheless, if you have any suggestions for improving it, please contact us or leave a comment below.
To use this tool, simply drag and drop your desired color into it, or select your desired color from the color palette first, then change its Hue, Saturation, Lightness, and Alpha to meet the needs of your application.
